WALNUT RUM BALLS 
3 c. finely crumbled vanilla wafers
1 c. powdered sugar
1 1/2 tbsp. cocoa
1 1/2 c. finely chopped walnuts
3 tbsp. light corn syrup
1/2 c. rum (I use Jim Beam Bourbon)

I smash the vanilla wafers with a rolling pin.

Mix all ingredients together and shape into 1" balls. Roll in powdered or granulated sugar (I use powdered). Good to eat right away or store in tight container.

Makes about 40 balls. It takes 2 (7 oz.) packages of vanilla wafers to make 3 cups.
