SKILLET GUMBO | |
1 c. diced, cooked meat 1/2 c. chopped green pepper 1/2 c. chopped onion 1/4 lb. okra, cut in 1 inch pieces 1 c. tomato wedges 1/2 c. water 1/2 c. uncooked natural brown rice Combine all ingredients except brown rice in skillet. Cover and simmer 10 minutes. Stir in rice. Recover and simmer 20 minutes or until rice is tender. Makes 2 servings. |
