CRISPY SQUARES 
1/4 c. (1/2 stick) butter
1 (10 oz.) bag of large marshmallows
5 c. crisp rice cereal
1 c. candy coated chocolate pieces such as M & M

Grease a 12 x 8 inch baking dish. Set it aside. Place the butter in a 4 quart microwave safe bowl. Cook on high for 45 seconds to 1 minute 15 seconds or until the butter melts. Stir in the marshmallows. Cook on high for 1/2 to 2 minutes, stirring halfway through cooking, until you can stir the marshmallows into a smooth cream.

Using a long handled spoon or spatula immediately stir in the cereal until well coated. Stir in the chocolate pieces. Using a greased spatula or a piece of waxed paper press the mixture evenly into the baking dish. After the mixture has cooled, cut into squares. Make 24 2 inch squares.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
