HIKER'S HASTENER 
1 c. regular rice
2 lg. onions, sliced
1 green pepper, cubed
1 lb. hamburger
1/4 lb. cheese, grated
1 can tomato soup
1/2 c. water
6 med. potatoes
Bread crumbs
Butter

Soak rice for several hours. peel potatoes and slice. Place in bottom of a greased casserole. Layer in order: meat, rice, onions, green pepper and pour over this the tomato soup diluted with 1/2 cup water. Sprinkle on the cheese, bread crumbs. Dot with butter. Bake at 350 degrees an hour or more until done.
