TOLLHOUSE OATMEAL COOKIES 
1 c. butter
3/4 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. white sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda, dissolved in 1 tsp. hot water
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. flour
2 c. oatmeal
1 c. walnut pieces
12 oz. chocolate chips

Cream together the butter and sugars. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well. Add vanilla, soda and water, then mix and add the salt and flour. Stir in the oatmeal, walnuts and chocolate chips. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-11 minutes.
