DENVER JALAPENO BUFFALO CHICKEN
WINGS
 
2 to 5 lbs. chicken wings
1/2 c. ketchup
1/4 c. salad oil
1/4 c. Durkee's Louisiana Hot Sauce
1 1/2 tsp. diced jalapeno peppers
1/2 tsp. minced fresh garlic

Cut chicken wings between first and second joints to make 2 pieces. Preheat oven broiler with shelf 4 to 6 inches from heating element. Place broiler pan under broiler to preheat. Put all ingredients except wings in blender and blend until pureed. Place chicken wings in a 2 quart plastic bowl and add 2 tablespoons of sauce.

Cover bowl and shake to evenly coat wings with a very thin glaze of the sauce. Place wings on the broiler pan. Broil about 8 minutes on each side, or until juice runs clear when meaty portion of the wing is pierced. Return wings to the plastic container, add 2 to 3 tablespoons of sauce, shake and serve with Blue Cheese Dressing.

BLUE CHEESE DRESSING:

Blend until smooth: 1/4 c. cottage cheese 1/4 c. mayonnaise 1/2 c. crumbled bleu cheese

Refrigerate until chilled. Makes 1 1/2 cups.
