In serving pieces. Add flour, 1 cup, with 2 teaspoons salt, fresh ground pepper, 1 teaspoon paprika to a brown grocery bag. Shake pieces of meat into it, covering well with flour mixture.
In meantime, saute one large onion in 2 or 3 tablespoons of cooking oil. Remove onions to platter and brown pounded meat in onion flavored oil on all sides. Do quickly to retain juices. Add onions, 1 large can of tomatoes and 1 bay leaf. Let simmer (covered) 3 or more hours until tender. Check with fork.
(Type of meat is the secret - doesn't have to be pounded if you don't have a meat mallet.)
