SOUR CREAM POUND CAKE 
1/2 lb. butter
3 c. sugar
3 c. plain flour
1 tsp. vanilla
6 eggs
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. sour cream
1 tsp. lemon

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Grease and flour tube pan. Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each egg. Sift flour and baking soda. Add to butter, alternating with sour cream and flavoring. Bake 1 hour and 10 minutes or until done.

Note: Butter and eggs should sit out for 2 hours at room temperature.
