BEEF STROGANOFF | |
1 1/2 lb. fillet of beef Flour 3 tbsp. butter 2 med. onions, chopped 1 1/2 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. pepper 1/2 c. sherry 1 c. water 1 c. sour cream Cut meat in thin strips. Dredge in flour and brown in butter quickly in skillet. Remove meat. Cook onions and mushrooms in skillet until golden. Add meat, salt and pepper. Then add sherry and water; bring to boiling point. Remove from heat. Stir in sour cream. Heat, but do not boil. Serve immediately. Serves 4. |
