HAMBURGER SOUP 
1 lb. hamburger, browned
2 onions, chopped
5 c. water
2 carrots, sliced
1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes, cut up
2 stalks celery
1/3 c. pearl barley
1/4 c. ketchup
1 tbsp. beef bouillon
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. dry basil
1 bay leaf

Put all ingredients together. Bring to a boil and simmer 4 hours.
