SLOPPY JOE CASSEROLE 
1 (8 oz.) pkg. shell macaroni
1 (1 5/16 oz.) env. sloppy joe mix
1 lb. ground chuck
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
2 (8 oz.) cartons cottage cheese
1/2 c. grated Cheddar cheese

Cook macaroni as package directs; drain. Prepare sloppy joe mix with ground chuck, tomato paste, tomato sauce and 1 1/4 cups water as package directs. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

In 2 1/2 quart casserole, layer half the macaroni, half the cottage cheese and half the meat sauce; repeat. Top with Cheddar cheese. Bake uncovered, 40 to 50 minutes, or until bubbling.

I have been making this exact recipe for years. The only change I make to it is that I brown and drain the beef and then mix everything else into it except for the Cheddar. Spread it in the dish and top with Cheddar. It's good no matter if it's layered or not. We all loved it.
