TURTLE CAKE | |
1 box German chocolate cake mix 1 (14 oz.) bag caramels 1 can sweetened condensed milk 1 stick butter 1 c. nuts, chopped 1 c. chocolate chips Prepare cake mix as directed. Pour half of batter into a greased 9 x 13 inch pan and bake for 15 minutes at 350 degrees. Melt in saucepan the caramels, Eagle Brand milk, and butter until smooth. Pour and spread on top of baked portion of cake. Sprinkle with chopped nuts and chocolate chips. Pour remaining cake batter on top of mixture and bake 15 to 20 minutes longer. Sprinkle with powdered sugar when cool or serve with ice cream. |
