Place 12 goog quality frankfurters (hot dogs) in boiling water; reduce heat and simmer 5-8 minutes. Serve in heated buns with help yourself mustard, chopped onions, relish and hot Coney Sauce. CONEY SAUCE: Brown 1/2 pound of ground beef slowly but thoroughly, breaking with a fork until fine. Add 1/4 cup water, 1/4 cup minced onion, 1 clove garlic minced, 1 cup tomato sauce, 1/2 teaspoon chili powder, 1/2 teaspoon salt. Simmer for 10 minutes. More chili powder may be added for a hotter sauce. |
