RED VELVET CAKE 
1 1/2 c. Crisco oil
2 eggs
2 c. sugar
2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tbsp. cocoa
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
2 oz. red food coloring

Cream oil, eggs, sugar, salt, flour and cocoa; mix well. Add vanilla and food coloring; mix well. Bake at 350 degrees for about 1/2 hour or until done.

ICING:

1 c. milk
1/4 c. flour
Dash salt

Cook over low heat to a pudding stage. 1 stick butter 1 c. powdered sugar

Add mixture; beat until smooth. Add 1 can flaked coconut. Spread on cool cake.
