CHICKEN AND RICE CASSEROLE 
Butter an oblong casserole dish; sprinkle 1 cup rice evenly over dish (uncooked, not minute rice). Place cut up chicken over top of rice. Salt and pepper chicken pieces.

Mix in a small bowl: 1 pkg. Lipton onion soup mix 2 c. water

Pour this over chicken and rice. Put foil over chicken and cook 1 1/2 hours. Remove foil last 30 minutes. Bake at 350 degrees. 6 servings. Pork chops are good in this recipe, also.
