EASY NO-KNEAD WHOLE WHEAT BREAD | |
3 c. whole wheat flour 1/4 c. sugar 2 tbsp. salt 3 tbsp. yeast 2 c. water 2 c. milk 1/2 c. oil 2 eggs 5 1/2 c. white flour Combine whole wheat flour, sugar, salt, and yeast in large mixing bowl. Heat water, milk, and oil in saucepan until very warm (120 to 130 degrees). Add the warmed liquids and eggs to the dry ingredients. Blend at low speed until moist, then beat at medium speed for 3 minutes. Stir in by hand the white flour. Cover and let rise until double. Stir down and spoon into greased loaf pans and let rise 10-15 minutes. Bake at 375 degrees for 35-40 minutes. Makes 2 large loaves or 3 medium loaves. |
