WHOLE WHEAT BREAD FOR FOOD
PROCESSOR
 
1 1/2 c. whole wheat flour
2 1/2 c. white flour
1/2 c. powdered milk OR
3/4 c. warmed milk
3 tbsp. butter
3 tbsp. sugar or honey
2 tsp. salt
1 egg
1 pkg. yeast

Soften yeast in 1/2 cup warm water mixed with 1 tablespoon of the sugar or honey. Mix all ingredients in food processor bowl, including butter. If using powdered milk, mix 3/4 cup warm water to yeast mixture. If using liquid milk, add it to yeast.

With processor running, add egg and yeast mixture. Mix until ball forms. Process about 1 1/2 minutes. Add flour by tablespoons as needed. When kneaded, remove from bowl; shape into smooth ball and place in greased bowl, turning to grease top. Let rise about 1 hour.

Punch down. Form into 2 loaves. Place in greased loaf pans. Let rise about 45 minutes. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 35-40 minutes. Loaves will sound hollow when tapped when they are done. Remove form pan and cool on wire rack. Makes 2 loaves.
