MERINGUE SURPRISES 
2 egg whites
1/8 tsp. salt
1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips, regular or miniature chips
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. sugar

Combine egg whites, vanilla, and salt; beat well until stiff but not dry. Beat in sugar gradually until stiff and glossy. Fold chocolate morsels into mixture. Drop by teaspoon on a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 300 degrees for 30 minutes. Yield: about 3 1/2 to 4 dozen.
