STRAWBERRY CREAM PIE 
3/4 c. sugar
6 tbsp. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
2 egg yolks, slightly beaten
2 c. milk
1 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 pt. strawberries
1 c. heavy whipped cream (or Cool Whip)
1/4 c. sugar
1 (9 inch) baked pastry shell
2 tbsp. sugar

Mix 3/4 cup sugar, flour and salt. Slowly stir in egg yolks and milk. Cook over very low heat, stirring constantly until thick, or about 10 minutes. Add butter and vanilla. Let cool.

Cook pie shell according to directions. Cool. Wash and hull berries, drain on paper towels. Line bottom of pie shell with berries, sprinkle them with sugar. Pour vanilla custard mixture over berries, using only half of it. Place another layer of berries on top of custard. Then pour remainder of custard on top of 2 nd layer of berries. Add a few berries on top to decorate. Refrigerate. When ready to serve, top with whipped cream. Easy and WONDERFUL!
