STRING BEANS ALMONDINE 
1 1/2 lbs. fresh string beans
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 stick butter
1 sm. pkg. blanched, sliced almonds

Cook beans gently. Season with salt and pepper. Cook until tender. In separate saucepan, melt 1/2 stick butter. Add almonds, stirring frequently until light brown.

Drain beans, place in casserole or dish. While butter is bubbling over almonds, spread butter-almond mixture over the beans. Serve immediately.
