1/2 c. Crisco
2 c. self-rising flour
1 c. milk
1 1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs

Beat well. Pour into greased and floured pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

NOTE: To make cake a spice cake: 1/2 tsp. ground cloves 1 tsp. nutmeg 1/2 tsp. allspice 1/2 tsp. mace

Mix with flour before adding to other ingredients.
