EL DARODO BEEF - CHEESE
CASSEROLE
 
1 lb. lean ground beef, browned
1 lb. onions, chopped and sauteed
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
1 c. sliced ripe olives
1 c. (1/2 pt.) sour cream
1 c. (1/2 pt.) sm. curd cottage cheese
7 or 8 canned chilies, seeded and chopped
1 (8 oz.) pkg. crisp tortilla chips
2 c. (1/2 lb.) grated Monterey Jack cheese

Combine cooked meat, onions, garlic salt, tomato sauce, and olives. Combine sour cream, cottage cheese, and chilies. Crush chips and place half in bottom of well greased casserole, 9 x 13 x 2 inch. Add half meat mixture, a layer of chips, cheese; then repeat. Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes.
