STUFFED GREEN PEPPERS 
6 large green bell peppers
5 c. boiling water
1 lb. ground beef
2 tbsp. chopped onion
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. garlic salt
1 c. cooked rice
1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce

Cut thin slice from stem end of pepper; remove all seeds and membranes from each. Wash inside and outside. Cook the peppers in the boiling, salted water for 5 minutes; drain.

Brown ground beef with onions until tender; drain. Stir in salt, garlic salt, rice and 1 cup of the tomato sauce; heat through.

Lightly stuff each pepper with 1/2 cup meat mixture. Stand pepper upright in ungreased baking dish, 8x8x2 inch. Pour remaining tomato sauce over peppers. Cover and bake at 350 for 45 minutes. Uncover; bake 15 minutes longer.
