PEANUT BUTTER PIE 
2 c. powdered sugar
1 c. peanut butter
9 inch baked pie shell - deep dish
1/2 c. white sugar
1/4 c. flour
Dash of salt
1 can evaporated milk
3 egg yolks, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 lb. butter
3 egg whites
9 tbsp. sugar

Mix powdered sugar and peanut butter together thoroughly. Reserve 1/4 cup for topping. Put sugar mixture in bottom of pie shell. Mix together white sugar, flour and salt. Heat milk until it coats spoon. Pour over sugar and flour mixture and add beaten egg yolks. Cook this mixture until it thickens. Add vanilla and butter. Mix together and pour into pie shell.

For meringue: Beat egg whites until stiff. Add sugar. Beat until sugar dissolves. Spread on pie filling. Sprinkle on reserved topping. Brown meringue in oven.
