APPLE CRISP 
8 apples, sliced (peel or unpeeled as desired)
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 c. water
1/8 tsp. salt
1 c. sugar
3/4 c. flour
1 stick butter

Place apple slices in buttered large Pyrex dish. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Add water and salt. Mix sugar, flour and butter into crumbs (a pastry blender works good for this). Sprinkle over the apples. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven about 30 minutes or until apples are soft. Serve warm or cold. Good also with whipped cream or ice cream.
