1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 c. buttermilk or sour milk
2 eggs
2 1/4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. salt
2 apples, chopped

Cream butter, sugars, eggs and buttermilk. Add dry ingredients, stir in apples. Put in a 9"x13" pan, sprinkle with topping.

TOPPING:

1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 c. nuts

Mix ingredients together. Bake at 375 degrees for 40 minutes.
