SWEDISH BREAD 
3 pkg. cake yeast
1 1/2 c. lukewarm water
6 to 6 1/2 c. all purpose flour
1/4 c. sugar
2 tbsp. shortening
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. molasses
Melted butter

Combine cake yeast in lukewarm water. Add molasses, sugar, salt and shortening. Mix well with mixer. Add flour, small amounts at a time until smooth in consistency. Knead for 5 minutes. Place in greased glass bowl. Let rise until double. Punch down, let rest five minutes. separate into two equal amounts. Shape into loaf size. Place in greased loaf pans. Let rise approximately 40 minutes. Bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees. Brush with melted butter when removed from oven.
