OATMEAL CHOCOLATE CHIP CAKE 
1 3/4 c. boiling water

Pour over 1 cup oatmeal and then add 1/2 cup butter. Stir until melted. Add: 1 c. sugar 1 3/4 c. flour 1 tbsp. cocoa 1 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 1/3 pkg. (6 oz.) chocolate chips

Beat one minute. Pour in greased and floured 9 x 12 inch pan. Sprinkle remaining chocolate chips and 3/4 cup nuts on top of cake before baking. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes.
