OATMEAL HARVEST CAKE 
1 1/2 c. boiling water
1 c. uncooked oatmeal
1/2 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt

TOPPING:

1/2 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. milk
1 c. coconut
1/2 c. nuts

Pour boiling water over oatmeal and let stand 20 minutes. Do not drain. Cream butter, white and brown sugar; mix with oatmeal. Add eggs; beat well. Mix dry ingredients together and add to oatmeal mixture. Bake in greased and floured 13 x 9 inch pan at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes. Pour topping mix on hot cake and place under broiler until bubbly; watch closely!
