FRESH PEACH COBBLER 
1/4 c. butter
1 c. sugar
3/4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
Dash of salt
3/4 c. milk
2 c. sliced peaches

(Or use raspberries, strawberries or pears).

Melt butter in 2 quart flat baking pan. Combine 1 cup sugar, flour, baking powder and salt. Add milk. Pour into dish over butter. Combine the fruit with the remainder of sugar and spoon over batter. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Serve in bowl with milk or ice cream.
