HOT DOG SAUCE 
1 c. chopped onion
2 lbs. hamburger
1 tbsp. salt
1 oz. or less chili powder
1/2 tbsp. cloves
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. pepper
1/2 oz. or less paprika
14 oz. bottle ketchup

Make paste with 1 cup water and 1 cup of flour. Add 1/2 cup more water. Saute the onions and hamburger, then add all remaining ingredients and simmer slowly. Add the paste slowly into the sauce. Simmer until flavors are well blended. Makes 2 1/2 to 3 quarts.
