TOM'S WHITE CRACKERS 
1 qt. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
3/4 c. butter and lard mixed together
1 egg
Milk

Stir together flour and baking powder. Cut in butter and lard until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add egg and enough milk to make a dough. Roll out thin onto greased cookie sheets and cut into squares with a knife. Sprinkle with salt and prick all over with a fork. Bake in a 400 degree oven until lightly browned.

VARIATION I:

Add dry onion flakes to the flour and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

VARIATION II:

Add dry pepper, onion and celery flakes to the flour.
