VICTORY VEGETABLE SOUP 
1 pkg. soup bones
1 lb. or more stew beef cut in small cubes
1 med. onion, sliced
1 tsp. or more salt and pepper to taste
1 lg. can tomatoes
6 springs parsley or flakes
2 c. chopped cabbage
1 pkg. frozen mixed vegetables
1/2 pkg. frozen okra freeze remainder
1/2 c. chopped celery
2 beef bouillon cubes
1 c. diced potatoes
3 qts. cold water

Put bone, meat and onion and salt in cold water. Cook covered slowly 2 hours. Add vegetables and cook 1 hour longer. Break up tomatoes with spoon as they cook so they will mix well and not stay whole.

Add beef cubes for extra flavor. If I have leftover beef from roast, I add that too!
