HAMBURGER PIE | |
1 1/2 lb. hamburger 1/4 c. onions 1 tsp. salt 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce 1/4 tsp. pepper flour 2 tbsp. shortening 1 can mushroom soup 4 medium potatoes 4 diced carrots 1 pkg. frozen peas Biscuits Mix hamburger, onions, salt, Worcestershire sauce, and pepper together. Form into small balls, about an inch in diameter. Roll in flour and brown in shortening. When brown on all sides, add the mushroom soup and 3/4 can of water; simmer for 30 minutes. In another saucepan, cook potatoes, carrots and peas until tender. When tender, mix with meat mixture and place in a large, shallow dish. Top with biscuit and bake until biscuits are brown. You can sprinkle some cheese over the top when still hot if you like. |
