PUMPKIN SHORTBREAD 
1 pkg. yellow cake mix (reserve 1/2 c. for topping)
1/2 c. butter
1 egg, slightly beaten

Cut in butter to cake mix; add egg. (Mixture will be a little sticky.) Pat into 9x13 pan that has been sprinkled with a small amount of flour. 1 1/2 c. sugar 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 tsp. cloves 1/2 tsp. ginger 2/3 c. evaporated milk 2 eggs, slightly beaten

Mix in bowl and pour on cake batter.

TOPPING:

1/4 c. cold butter
1/2 c. sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. reserved cake mix

Cut butter into sugar, cinnamon and cake mix; sprinkle on top. Bake 50-60 minutes at 350 degrees. Serve with whipped cream.
