RHUBARB COFFEECAKE 
1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. finely cut rhubarb

Cream shortening and sugar, add egg and beat well. Mix flour, soda and salt. Add alternately with milk. Then add vanilla and rhubarb. Mix well, put into 9 x 13 inch greased pan.

TOPPING:

1/4 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. white sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon

Sprinkle on top and bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.
