BAKED CHOP SUEY
1 lb. browned hamburger
1 c. Minute Rice
1 c. celery, chopped
1 lg. onion, chopped
1 can chicken (with rice) soup
Little salt and pepper to taste
1 can sliced water chestnuts, if desired
1 can mushrooms on top
1 can mushroom soup
1 can water
4 tbsp. soy sauce
1-2 tbsp. Chinese molasses
Sprinkle slivered almonds on top, if desired

Precook celery and onions together with a little water while you're browning your ground beef. Drain off water from celery and onions and use to fill the soup can with water. Drain off fat from ground beef, then mix all your ingredients together and put in 9x13 casserole.

Then put 1 can sliced mushrooms on top and sprinkle with slivered almonds if desired. Bake in 350 degree oven for 45 minutes. If I use a glass casserole, I usually start at 350 degrees for about 25 minutes and then reduce heat to 325 degrees for last 20 minutes. (Can use more celery.)
