FRENCH MARKET SOUP, CAJUN STYLE 
DRY MIX - 1/4 cup each:

Black beans
Navy beans
Red beans
Garbanza beans
Pinto beans
Peas (split)
Lentile beans
Baby limas
Black eyed peas

SPICES:

1 bay leaf
1 tsp. thyme
2 cloves
1 clove garlic
2 tbsp. parsley
Red pepper
Salt
2 c. onions
6 stalks celery
1 c. green pepper
1 can tomatoes
2 cans Ro-tel

MEATS:

1 slice ham
1 lb. smoked sausage
4 lg. chicken breasts

Soak beans overnight, drain. Add 3 quarts water, 1 tablespoon salt, bay leaf, thyme. Cover and simmer 3 hours. Add other ingredients except sausage and chicken and simmer for 1 1/2 hours. Add sausage and chicken and simmer until chicken is done.

Remove chicken, bone and cut into bite size pieces. Return to soup. 10 minutes before serving ad parsley. Ham and sausage are both cut into bite sized pieces. This is delicious served over rice also with corn bread, a salad or slaw.

Sounds great... but in today's economy... would have to take out a "loan" to make this.
