NANAIMO BARS 
1/2 c. butter, softened
1/4 c. sugar
5 tbsp. cocoa
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. walnuts
1 c. coconut
2 c. graham cracker crumbs or vanilla wafers
Icing (recipe follows)

Combine butter, sugar, cocoa, vanilla and egg in a mixing bowl. Set bowl over boiling water. Stir until butter melts and resembles custard. Combine graham cracker crumbs, coconut and walnuts. Blend well; add to first mixture. Pack into a 9 inch square pan. Frost with Nanaimo Bar Icing.

ICING:

1/4 c. butter
3 tbsp. milk
2 tbsp. powdered vanilla custard
2 c. sifted powdered sugar
4 sq. semi-sweet chocolate
