SOUR CREAM CUT OUT COOKIES 
3 1/4 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sour cream
1/2 c. butter

Sift together: flour, salt and soda. Combine, in different bowls, butter, eggs, sugar and vanilla, mix. Add sour cream and 1/2 of flour and blend. Add rest of flour. Put in refrigerator 20 minutes. Roll thin and cut out. Bake in oven at 350 or 400 degrees until done (light brown). For softer cookies don't roll out thin.

FROSTING:

3/4 to 1 lb. confectioners sugar
1 tbsp. vanilla
Food coloring

Combine confectioners sugar, vanilla and food coloring; add a little milk until the right consistency to spread. You can use other flavoring: rum, banana or your choice.
