THE BEST SWEET AND SOUR SAUCE | |
1 cup sugar 1 cup ketchup (Hunts) 1 cup water 1 (8 oz.) can pineapple chunks with juice 1 large green pepper, chopped 1/2 large onion, chopped Cut onion and green pepper into large chunks, set aside. In a fry pan caramelize the sugar. Make sure you stir it often. Then add water and ketchup, keep stirring. Add can of pineapple including the liquid and your vegetables. Let simmer for about 15 minutes and your done! Note: You can leave the pineapple chunks in the sauce of take them out. That's your option. Submitted by: Cassandra |
