FRUIT COBBLER 
1/2 c. butter (1 stick)
2 c. sugar
2 c. water
1 1/2 c. self rising flour
1/2 c. Crisco
1/3 c. milk
2 c. fruit (with apples use 1 tsp. cinnamon)

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Melt butter in 13 x 9 inch pan. Heat sugar and water in saucepan until sugar is melted. Cut Crisco into flour until fine texture. Add milk and stir with a fork. Roll out on floured board to 1/4 inch rectangle. Spread fruit on top.

Roll up from long side like a jelly roll. Cut 1/2 inch slices and place in pan on top of melted butter. Pour liquid over top. Bake 55 minutes.

NOTE: Fruit will fall out some when cutting slices, poke back into rolls and you can add additional fruit on top.
