DANISH PUFF 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. flour
2 tbsp. water
1/2 c. butter
1 c. water
1 tsp. almond extract
1 c. flour
3 eggs
Confectioners Sugar Glaze
chopped slivered almonds

Confectioners Sugar Glaze:

1 1/2 c. confectioners sugar
2 tbsp. butter
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 to 2 tsp. water

Crust: Cut 1/2 cup butter into 1 cup flour and add 2 tablespoons water until it forms a soft ball. Spread onto pizza pan or 2 oblong strips on a cookie sheet.

Puff Pastry: Bring 1 cup water with 1/2 cup butter to boil. Remove from heat; add almond extract. Return to low heat and slowly add flour, stirring until forms a ball. Remove from heat and add 1 egg at a time, beating to smooth glossy consistency. Spread evenly over crust(s).

Bake at 350°F for 50 minutes until puff is golden brown. Cool, then glaze and sprinkle with almonds.
