1 c. sugar 1 c. butter or lard 4 c. flour 1/4 c. plain milk 1 1/4 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. vanilla Put flour and baking powder in bowl with sugar. Cut in butter, stir in eggs, milk and flavoring. Make soft dough. Chill dough 2 hours. Roll out and cut in desired shape. Bake 10 to 12 minutes at 375 degrees. Coon on rack. Keeps well in covered container. |
