CREAM LOAF CANDY | |
3 c. sugar 1 1/2 c. heavy cream 1 lump butter (walnut size) 1 c. nuts 1 tsp. vanilla 1 tbsp. vinegar Let sugar, cream and butter boil up and then add vinegar and stir constantly until it forms a soft ball. Remove from fire and let stand until cold. Add nuts and vanilla. Then have a plate ready (not greased) and lift up candy into your hands and mix until it falls on plate (15 minutes). Be sure to cook this in a granite pan because aluminum makes the candy turns dark. |
