STIRRED FRUIT CAKE | |
1 lb. pecans 1 lb. English walnuts 1 sm. can black walnuts 2 lbs. candied cherries, sliced in sm. pieces 1 box dark raisins 1 lb. butter (room temp.) 1 doz. eggs 3 1/2 c. sugar 2 c. self-rising flour 2 c. plain flour 1 1/2 tsp. nutmeg 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 2 tsp. vanilla Cook at 300 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. Take out and stir every 30 minutes. When done pack in wax paper lined tube pan. Let set for 24 hours. Turn out of pan. Wrap with wax paper or foil. Let set 3 days. Then turn over. Wrap good. Ready to serve. |
