GERMAN BAKED PANCAKES 
This is the way Grandma Meacham made them.

1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, divided
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
3 eggs
1/2 cup milk

SEASONING:

confectioners' sugar
lemon juice

Preheat oven to 400°F. Melt butter in two glass baking dishes about 4x8-inch. Mix flour, eggs, and milk. Once butter has melted pour batter evenly between the two dishes.

Bake at 400°F for 20 to 25 minutes. The edges should puff up, curl over and turn a nice brown.

Remove from baking dishes and serve on a plate seasoned with lemon juice and confectioners' sugar to taste.
