MEAT-ZA-PIE | |
1 lb. ground beef 1/2 c. fine dry bread crumbs 2/3 c. evaporated milk 1 (2 oz.) can sliced mushrooms, drained 2-3 slices Cheddar cheese, cut into strips 1/4 tsp. oregano, crumbled fine 2 tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese 1/2-1 tsp. garlic salt 1/2 c. catsup 1. Place beef, garlic salt and crumbs in 9 inch pie pan. Add evaporated milk; mix with fork. 2. Spread mixture evenly over bottom of pan; form low rim around edge to hold filling. 3. Spread catsup over meat to rim; arrange mushrooms on top. 4. Place cheese strips in crisscross pattern over top. Sprinkle with oregano. Sprinkle generously with grated cheese. 5. Bake in 400 degree oven for 20 minutes or until cheese is melted and lightly browned. 6. Cut in wedges to serve. Makes 4 servings. |
