SPONGE CANDY 
1 c. sugar
1 c. dark corn syrup
1 tbsp. vinegar
1 tbsp. baking soda
Dipping chocolate

Combine sugar, syrup and vinegar in saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves. Continue to cook without stirring to 300 degrees. Remove from heat, quickly stir in soda. Mix well. This will foam a bit. Pour into lightly buttered 9x9x2 inch pan. Do not spread as it will spread itself. Cool. Break. Dip in chocolate.
