2 eggs 1 tbsp. butter 1 c. sugar 1 c. warm milk 1 tsp. vinegar 1/2 tsp. baking soda 2 1/2 - 3 1/2 c. flour 2 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. salt 1 c. raisins 1 c. mashed potatoes Cinnamon Sugar Sour the warm milk with vinegar and mix with eggs, butter and sugar. Add 2 1/2 cups flour, the baking soda, baking powder, salt and mashed potatoes. Mix all with mixer and add flour by small amounts until dough is elastic and stiff enough to drop off a spoon. Fold in raisins. Deep fry at 350 degrees by dropping level tablespoons of dough into hot oil in deep fryer. Fry several at one time, turning as necessary. Donut hole will be dark in color. Takes about 4 minutes. Retrieve with slotted spoon and cool on paper towels. Roll in sugar and cinnamon mixture. |
